| THE HIGH PRIESTESS |
| Many physists say that invisible "dark matter" makes up 95% of the universe, which leaves just 5% making up our known reality. On a smaller scale, the human reality can sometimes resemble this situation.
When the High Priestess appears, it is time to ask yourself.. . Do you know why you do what you do all of the time? Probably not. We all have hunches, gut-feelings or visceral reactions to something or someone, but do we follow them? The High Priestess says stop ignoring your spontaneous reactions to situations. Listen to yourself. Those Red Flags going up are real. On a positive note, so are feelings of 'having known someone' before. This card is all about the unconscious and the power of it, but also the intelligence that lies within it. Our deep intelligence is called intuition. Gavin de Becker says " Intuition is a cognitive process, faster than we recognize. We think conscious thought is somehow better, when in fact, intuition is soaring flight compared to the plodding of logic.". The energy of the high priestess is very powerful and not very accepted by western society. Our culture negates it. We have been trained to ignore it for so long that often times we can't even detect it when it comes along. Trust in your own power to know what is real and have less fear . |
