Normally this is a very positive development that comes after a time period of waiting or needing to overcome many hurdles. It has that great feeling of after being shut out, you are now all in. But there is the catch! It implies commitment, or responsibility or finality. Once you attain what you have been pursuing, nothing will be the same and there is no turning back. Implicit in this card is the permanent changing of your trajectory, so make very sure you want what you are chasing. When this card shows up with the Three of Wands it implies that the dream ships you have sent out sailing will be returning very soon full of treasure. If any of the relationship cards show up in conjuction with the Eight of Wands, know that things will be speeding up in the love department! This card also warns to read the fine print of any contract, as once you are in, it will be hard to get out.
